Dirty Dog, the dubstep producing alter ego of Dub Zero, has been on a roll with releases lately.
With his own signiture style that’s hard to classify (but you know it when you hear it), I can say that in my own opinion he’s easily one of the best dubstep producers around at the moment. He manages to make some of the most catchy, bouncy, get-stuck-in-your-head dubstep tracks without ever over doing it. You can almost say that his style is simple but in a good way.
I got the same impression as I always do with his recent dubstep remix of Caspa’s “On It” featuring Mighty High Coup – His head bobbin’ remix appeared on the “On It EP” released through Dub Police last week along with remixes from TC, Dismantle, and Oscar Luweez.
Dirty Dog is the latest edition to both, Caspa’s Dub Police record label, and the IAM Agency. Having exploded onto the scene this year, he’s already had releases from his debut EP on Dub Police feature on the massive Dubstep compilation ‘Dubstep Sessions 2012‘ via New State Music.
Having turned his talents to producing Dubstep for the past 5 years, his production values have been honed to near perfection in this time. Having gaining the attention of Dub Polices sheriff, Caspa, he soon signed him to the label, and with a forthcoming debut EP “Doggy Style“, and a massive remix of Caspa’s “On It” featuring Mighty High Coup.
With a headline DJ set at the mighty Fabric already under his belt, 2012 has gone off to an incredible start. His tracks have been doing the rounds on national radio show, from BBC’s Mistajam, to Kiss FM’s Hatcha’s flagship show. As well as many of the scenes biggest acts playing his tracks, up & down the UK, and further; Trolley Snatcha, The Others, Filth Collins, Eddie K, 12th Planet, Flux Pavilion, Emalkay & the legendary D&B artist Simon ‘Bassline’ Smith.
